HDR is one of my favorite photography techniques and has been for quite some time. My tastes in HDR images has certainly toned down from when I first started but I also think that some of those wild early images were part of the fun and the learning curve. Its also been interesting seeing the different HDR programs improve with each latest version. For the last year or so my HDR program of choice has been NIK HDR Efex Pro2. But lately I've also been trying out the newest version of Photomatix Pro5. The de-ghosting feature is truly amazing and overall you can start with a much more natural look. I've also been combining HDR with long exposures and it really handles that well too. Here is one HDR long exposure image from this weekend that was made with Photomatix Pro5.
