I sped (but not TOO fast of course) down Hammond Bay Road this afternoon trying to find a good spot to capture the impending sunset. I grabbed the dogs and my photo gear from the car and hurried out to the rocks at Neck Point Park. I got there just in time to catch some beautiful late afternoon light on a massive cloud bank that was hovering over the Sunshine Coast.
I also had the pleasure tonight of meeting a very interesting photographer while I was there!
I met Gavin Hardcastle, a professional fine art photographer and instructor, and his lovely wife. Gavin was at Neck Point putting a motorized head through its paces so that he could write a review on it for http://digital-photography-school.com/ . Gavin is an accomplished landscape photographer and instructor and is actually giving a presentation to our Oceanside Photographers Club in March! I'll have to make sure I don't miss that meeting!
You can see some of Gavin's beautiful landscape images for sale at http://www.gavinhardcastle.com/ and you can also find out a lot more about him and his photography tours and even some great tutorials at http://www.fototripper.com/ .
For all my photography friends, Gavin expressed an interest in doing some one day seminars. Take a look at his work and let me know if you might be interested?
