2am Saturday morning found me racing North up the Inland Highway with an Xlarge Tim Hortons. My destination was the beautiful Myra Falls at the far end of Buttle Lake. I've photographed the Falls a couple of times but always in really dark cloudy weather. I had checked Friday night and the 24 hour forecast was calling for a mix of sun and clouds up in the Campbell River area. I arrived at the end of the lake in the dark and got out and photographed a rather dull sunrise. I was also going to hike the Price Creek Trail a few km's down the valley to check out the view but 4 or 5 fresh (and large) plops of bear poop right at the trailhead made me realize I had forgotten my bear spray. So I went back to the car and took a wonderful 30 minute power nap before heading down to the Falls. The weatherman was right (for a change) and I had a wonderful mix of sun and clouds with a few sprinkles that morning. Here are a few of my shots from a great morning of landscape photography.
