I've had a bit more of a chance to use my new Sigma 150-600mm Sport lens recently and thought I would share some of the wildlife images that I have taken with it. So far I am very happy with the lens. It seems very sharp from 150-500mm and I havent even had a chance to use my Sigma dock to calibrate the lens with the 7D Mark II yet. I'm no expert but I am amazed at how well the Sigma "Optical Stabilization" works. All of these images were taken hand-held and some at quite long focal lengths. Two of the images are of a young buck who was born on our property 2 years ago and has pretty much lived back there ever since. He wanders away for a bit but always seems to come back in a day or two. He is now accompanied by 2 does with 3 young fawns (his maybe?). He is very photogenic and seems happy to let us get within 20-30 feet if we approach quietly and he is absolutely unafraid of our dogs. There is also an image of what we imagine is one of his progeny laying on some leaves by our plum tree. The other images are of Bald Eagles I saw in Port Hardy today and a grouse I ran across while hiking in the bush, trying to find a good viewpoint to photograph Woss Lake from.
