Whenever I am up working in the Comox Valley I always try to have my 7D Mark II and Sigma 160-600 in the car with me. And I always have my eyes wide open for some interesting bird shots. Last night I managed to get out of the car and down to the beach on Comox Rd just as a Heron took a nice sized Flounder out of the shallows and then a few minutes later watched overhead as a large flock of starlings flew past. The Heron was shot handheld at 600mm, F8, 800 ISO, with a shutter speed of 1/2500th
