My trusty sidekick Bono (Bono the Blue Heeler and not Bono the singer) and I recently spent a day exploring the area between the Nitinat River and the old Franklin River camp outside of Port Alberni. It wasn't a great day for landscape photography with harsh sunlight and not a cloud to be seen but I did take some images. We also saw a cougar by the Nitinat River and the biggest Elk bull I have ever seen up above Flora Lake. Above is an 8 shot panorama of Francois Lake in the early morning calm. I shot it handheld and then merged it in LRCC. And below is a shot of Bono shaking it off after a nice swim in Francois Lake.
