Well I'm starting to refine my waterdrop photography techniques and have just tried some new liquids and backgrounds and lighting schemes. These were my 4 favourite images from today. And it ONLY took about 300 shots to get them! I have to say that I am really enjoying using the Pluto Trigger and Android phone app to control it. It certainly makes it easier to experiment with different settings for the Pluto Valve (size of drops, flash delay, 2nd drop delay, etc.). What just blows me away about this kind of photography is the randomness of each shot. Each good shot is like a little piece of unique liquid sculpture. And if anyone is wondering, no filters were used in post-processing. What you are seeing is a result of different coloured liquids (almond milk for the base and water with blue food colouring in the valve) colliding along with a groovy out of focus background and off camera flashes with coloured gels.
