Work had me on the 5am ferry to Pender Island this morning. That’s one of the long sailings with stops at Saturna and Mayne Island over 2 1/2 hours. And you pretty much have the boat to yourself at that time of day which is kind of surreal in itself. I included a phone pic from our stop at Mayne Island. Usually I save phone pics for Instagram but I liked this one so much I posted it here as well. I was actually in the ferry lineup to go back to Victoria longer than I was on Pender! The highlight of my day was photographing a bald eagle who sits on the ferry dock patiently waiting for the cook at the little cafe to come out and feed him/her bacon scraps! According to the locals, if the cafe is closed then the eagle knows to not show up hahaha!
